Loughgall 5 - 2 Hanover

Lukasz Adamczyk was the star of the show at Brownstown Park, Portadown last Saturday as Loughgall defeated Hanover in the Davison Group Bob Radcliffe Cup Second Round.
The attacking player, on loan from Glentoran, scored a brace and was involved in two of the Villagers other goals.
Loughgall started with the same team after last week’s impressive performance over Lurgan Celtic and it took them 20 minutes to open the scoring when Bryan Pentland’s driven cross was glanced home by Adamczyk.
The striker could have doubled his tally just 5 minutes later however he failed to apply the finish to Dean Smith’s inviting cross.
On 37 minutes Dean Smith received Pentland’s quick throw in before turning inside the box and unleashing an effort which home ‘keeper David Crawford was equal to.
Hanover equalised from the penalty spot 5 minutes before the interval.  Ex-Loughgall forwards Ally Wilson and Clifford Sterritt combined before the latter was upended in the box by ‘keeper Marc Robinson.  Sterritt, himself, stepped up and confidently placed the ball into the bottom right corner despite the best efforts of Robinson.
Loughgall came out fired up for the second half and it only took them 5 minutes to regain the lead.  Adamczyk scored his second goal of the game when Dean Smith’s layoff landed perfectly for him to fire a right footed volley into the back of the net.
On 55 minutes Adamczyk was again involved as he flicked on Pentland’s forward ball to release strike partner Smith who made no mistake from 10 yards. On the hour mark, the Villagers scored their fourth goal when Noel Robinson’s corner fell kindly to midfielder Brian Adair who excellently slotted home just inside the post.  Just 3 minutes later remarkable build-up play from Adamczyk and Noel Robinson allowed Dean Smith to notch his brace and effectively kill off the contest.
The home side grabbed a consolation goal in the final 10 minutes when John Whitten did well to turn on the edge of the box and beating ‘keeper Robinson with a spectacular strike into the top corner.
