Loughgall 0 - 1 East Fife

  McManus 19m

A defensive mix-up handed East Fife the victory in their final game of their pre-season tour of Northern Ireland.
A closely fought game was decided in the 16th minute when Alan Murphy’s attempted header, back to the out-rushing goalkeeper Marc Robinson, fly past him and was turned in by striker Paul McManus from close range.
Before that McManus had a good chance to open the lead when Paul Walker’s forward pass was driven first-time towards the home goal, however it went well off target.  Loughgall were well in the game and Dean Smith saw a 25 yard effort end up just past the post.
21 minutes into the second period, goalscorer McManus collected the ball on the left flank before chipping ‘keeper Robinson only to hit the side-netting.  In the final 5 minutes the hosts could have grabbed an equaliser only for ‘keeper McCulloch to save well from substitute Paul Baron, and then Baron’s deep cross almost crept in at the back post.
