Loughgall 3 - 0 Armagh City

First Division leaders Loughgall defeated neighbours Armagh City to book their place in the final of this years Mid – Ulster Cup final.
Two first half goals from winger Marty Lavery set the Villagers on their way and Ryan Moffatt secured the win with 11 minutes remaining.
In a surprisingly one-sided affair, Loughgall scored the opener after only 4 minutes when Lavery collected Lukasz Adamczyk’s pass before chipping over ‘keeper Paul Colgan.  The winger grabbed his second of the game on 22 minutes when striker Andy Brown crossed to the back post where Adamczyk was waiting to head goalwards.  ‘Keeper Colgan performed a great block, only to see winger Lavery knock home the rebound from inside the penalty area.
City offered little attacking threat and their only decent chance in the first half saw Shane Coney fail to force away ‘keeper Marc Robinson into a save.
13 minutes into the second period and Armagh were reduced to ten men when midfielder Ciaran McMullen was dismissed for kicking out at goalscorer Lavery following a challenge.
The Villagers wrapped up the win when a tremendous through pass from Andy Smith released Moffatt into space where he calmly picked his spot beyond Colgan into the bottom corner of the net.
