Loughgall 2 - 1 Coagh United

Loughgall recovered from a goal down at half time to defeat Coagh United and earn their first win in the league since December. 
The first half created little in the way of opportunities with Alan Murphy going closest for Loughgall with a header inside the area.  A poor back pass from Darragh Peden presented Coagh midfielder James Wardell with a good chance however he failed to beat ‘keeper Marc Robinson from a poor angle.
The opener came on the stroke of half time when Stuart Dallas struck a sweet low free kick through a crowd of players before the ball nestled the bottom corner of the net.
The hosts started the second period with great desire and almost equalised early on when Ryan Moffatt picked up on a loose clearance and shot towards goal however ‘keeper Johnny Pollock managed to hold onto the effort.
Loughgall levelled on the hour mark when intricate play between Brian Adair and Lukasz Adamczyk saw the Polish striker upended in the penalty area by Steven Hawe.  Northern Ireland Junior International winger Moffatt calmly stepped up to send Pollock the wrong way.
Two minutes later the Villagers should have scored a second when Marty Lavery’s floated cross from the byline was headed goalwards by Paul Baron only for a spectacular save by Pollock to somehow tip it over the crossbar.
The winner came in the 63 minute when Baron towered at the back post to head home Adamczyk’s cross for his first goal since returning in January.
Loughgall had a number of chances to extend their lead however substitute Dean Smith saw his header at the front post rise over the crossbar while Pollock did well to save at his feet moments later.
In injury time Coagh almost grabbed an equaliser when Aaron Thornton’s free kick was flicked on by Gregory Stewart and the ball hit off the post and rebound safely into ‘keeper Robinson’s hands.
