The new U20s management team got their pre-season off to a positive start at Lakeview last night with some 21 players attending. Manager David Johnstone did a short presentation to the players before introducing Assistant manager Alfie Stewart and Lead Development Coach David Harvey. After a quick tour of the facilities and update on new 3g Pitch, the players then enjoyed a training session on the Lakeview pitch which was in superb condition.
DJ – “We are delighted to get started officially and it was a very encouraging night. We had 7 x U20s players unavailable tonight due to work or holidays so to have so many players turn up and so many new faces is fantastic. The management team had the opportunity to explain to the players what we are about and then we were able to spend time on the pitch. Our message was simple… we will provide the most professional environment in U20s football for players to improve and develop in, but they have to work hard and grasp the opportunity”
