Loughgall’s young forward John Uprichard landed the Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association’s Championship Player of the Month award for December. 21-year-old John scored three goals in December as the Villagers secured a 100% record in the month. Loughgall will welcome old manager Niall Currie and his Portadown side in the Sixth Round of the Tennent’s Irish Cup. Loughgall secured their progress with a 3-0 victory over Fivemiletown United whilst the Ports defeated Larne 2-1 at Inver Park. The fixture will be played on Saturday 4th February 2017 at 3pm at Lakeview Park.
