Second half goals from Aaron Patterson and substitute Wesley Boyle saw Loughgall continue their recent good form to collect all three points against Dergview.
The Castlederg side had went into the break ahead after Richard Leckey converted Andrew Devlin’s low cross on 18 minutes.
Loughgall missed a great opportunity on 26 minutes when Dergview ‘keeper Jack Boggs did well to parry Patterson’s 25 yard strike. The ball came out quickly at Marcus Dallas who couldn’t keep his effort on target whilst Boggs was still on the ground.
There were chances for both sides just before the break; firstly the visitors came close on 43 minutes when John Edgar chipped narrowly wide when well placed on the edge of the penalty area. Then one minute later Boggs was alert to superbly save Dallas’ strong strike that was headed for the top corner.
Loughgall levelled when Patterson netted his third goal in two games on the hour mark as he chested the ball down before finding the top corner with a wonderful strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Substitute Boyle scored the winning goal for the hosts in the 77th minute when latched onto Warner Mullan’s pass before dispatching low past Dergview ‘keeper Jack Boggs.
Substitute Boyle was then shown a straight red card in the final minute after a lunging tackle which puts him out of this Tuesday night’s fixture away to Carrick Rangers.
