A Chris Trussell double saw Loughgall fall to a narrow defeat at the hands of Ballyclare Comrades at Lakeview Park.
The visitors opened the scoring after only 8 minutes when Gary Brown’s cross was headed home by forward Trussell without a defensive challenge.
Comrades ‘keeper Paddy Flood did well to deny James Costello low down at his feet on 20 minutes after Steven Ferguson slipped through an incisive pass.
In the 28th minute Ryan Moffatt came in off the right flank before narrowly firing wide from 25 yards.
Loughgall came out strongly after the interval and caused danger when Anto Burns’ cross was deflected onto the crossbar on 65 minutes.
The leveller came on 78 minutes when Moffatt teed up Daniel Burns to strike low beyond ‘keeper Flood.
As Loughgall sought all three points it was Ballyclare that snatched a late winner when Trussell nodded home Kyle Buckley’s cross from inside the area for his second goal of the game.
