Loughgall reached the Irish Cup 5th round after a 2 – 0 victory away to Championship 2 outfit Chimney Corner. Both goals came in the second period, firstly Mark Carson hit a spectacular effort on the hour mark before Adam Pedlow finished Dale Malone’s cross from close range.
Before that, in the first half, the Villagers threatened after 7 minutes through strong play from forward John Guy to control the ball before setting up Adam Rodgers for a low 20-yard strike that was saved.
On 9 minutes, the visitors almost capability on a poor clearance from the goalkeeper when Guy passed to Wes Boyle who fired narrowly wide.
