Loughgall fell to a disappointing loss at Banbridge Town on New Years Eve, their first game for two weeks since defeating the Co. Down side in a penalty shoot-out in the Mid-Ulster Cup quarter final.
Loughgall manager Niall Currie welcomed Paul Carvill into the starting line-up following his arrival from Donegal Celtic last week.
The buy sildenafil for dogs visitors were denied an early lead after seven minutes when goalkeeper Gareth Buchanan completed a superb double-save to firstly parry Peter McNeill’s vicious 20-yard effort and then save from Paul McDowell’s close range header.
Barry Bloomer netted his fourth goal in five games since signing from Bangor when he pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area after Buchanan had initially denied McNeill on 17 minutes.
In the 37th minute Andy Smith’s precise free kick found Davy Hawthorne running deep onto it. The midfielder connected with a half-volley from a tight angle and forced ‘keeper Buchanan into a smart save to tip the ball past the post.
One minute later the home side equalised when Paul Walsh intercepted Hawthorne’s pass and worked space inside the box before firing home a great finish low into the bottom corner beyond the reaches of goalkeeper Marc Robinson.
Banbridge took the lead 12 minutes into the second half when the ball reached Dale Malone on the right flank and he attempted a deep cross-cum-shot that flew over ‘keeper Robinson and nestled in the top corner.
The Villagers had an excellent opportunity to hit back one minute later when Hawthorne squared across goal and McDowell miscued from close range to direct the ball narrowly past the post.
As Loughgall pressed to level the scores they were hit on the counter when Malone caused confusion in the penalty area and Glenn Waddell tripped the young striker. From the resultant penalty Malone blasted home for his second goal of the game.
