3 Readers United made an excellent start when after only two minutes Gregg Harrison smashed home from close range after Adam Hylands good approach play. Celtic responded just before the break with a fine finish from an acute angle.
On the hour mark, the visitors took the lead when a free kick slipped through ‘keeper Symon Ferguson’s grasp. Loughgall drew level thanks to new signing Daryl Flanaghan who drilled a low effort into the bottom corner.
The hosts were in the ascendency but couldn’t make it count until, with five minutes remaining, a corner delivery fell to left back Mark O’Conner and he stabbed the ball home to seal all three points.
