United made an excellent start when after only two minutes Gregg Harrison smashed home from close range after Adam Hylands good approach play. Celtic responded just before the break with a fine finish from an acute angle.
On the hour mark, the visitors took the lead when a free kick slipped through ‘keeper Symon Ferguson’s grasp. Loughgall drew level thanks to new signing Daryl Flanaghan who drilled a low effort into the bottom corner.
The hosts were in the ascendency but couldn’t make it count until, with five minutes remaining, a corner delivery fell to left back Mark O’Conner and he stabbed the ball home to seal all three points.
Loughgall: Ferguson, O’Connor, Irwin, Murphy, Dunlop, Hylands, Weir, Flanagan, Harrison, Gregg, Herron. Subs: Foster, Traynor, Montgomery.
