Loughgall 1 – 0 Ballyclare Comrades

Shea Campbell continued his impressive record of scoring in every game since signing last month as Loughgall overcame a dogged Ballyclare Comrades at Lakeview Park.

The first chance of the game fell to Paul McDowell after he was played through by David McCullough on 17 minutes however goalkeeper Flood did well to close him down and push his effort wide.

The Villagers came close again when buy lamisil generic Liam Cullen’s cross was turned onto the front post by Dean Smith from close range before being cleared to safety.

Flood again denied Loughgall on 42 minutes when he saved Smith’s driven free kick, from the edge of the penalty area, which was heading into the bottom corner.

Comrades striker Ronnie Burns had a decent chance after 65 minutes when the ball fell nicely for him on the edge of the penalty area.  However he couldn’t keep his chipped effort on target.

With five minutes remaining Comrades midfielder Scott Irvine was given time to control a forward ball before turning and forcing ‘keeper Marc Robinson into a superb diving save down to his right.

Campbell’s decisive strike was delivered with only two minutes remaining when he struck a 25 yard free kick which deflected off the wall and past ‘keeper Paddy Flood.
